As a young man in his native country, Brazil, Mauro became intrigued by the beauty of its natural stone production and launched his career. Educated as a Mechanical Engineer, he has a passion for professional race car driving and enjoys a challenge.
He travelled to quarries throughout Brazil to view different stones and to learn the fabrication process. Mauro devoted himself to searching the globe for materials , quarries, and factories. He still travels on a regular basis searching for different and exquisite, high-end materials.
In 1997 he moved to the United States where granite sales were booming. He established relationships with American distributors, architects, designers and builders, helped them expand their knowledge of stone from around the world and increased their sales tremendously as well as the factories from overseas, starting many of them in the US market. His love for natural stone and extensive experience with soapstone, granite, marble, natural quartzite, and limestone has established him as an expert in the field. Located in New Jersey, he takes pride in supplying top-quality stone and custom-cut jobs locally and throughout the United States.
